So a common saying is ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Genesis 2:7 tells us that “the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. How can we see this from a scientific/spiritual lense?

In this article, we’re going to break down how everything in the universe is connected, how stars, planets, and even we humans are part of the same cosmic story.

First, let’s talk about the ingredients. at the heart of all galaxies is a sun that helps create perfect conditions for life. God said let there be light, the sun obviously has a major significance in the creation story.

So, out in space, you have huge clouds of gas and dust called nebulae. These clouds are full of all sorts of elements, but some of the most important ones are hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen. (think periodic table of elements)

Over millions of years, gravity pulls that gas and dust together until a star is born. That star is basically a giant ball of burning hydrogen, and it lights up the galaxy.

But the story doesn’t stop there. The leftover material around that new star starts to form planets. So planets are made from the same cosmic ingredients as the star itself.

Then, on some lucky planets like Earth, those same elements which are hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen come together under the right conditions to create life.

Life is basically the universe’s way of using those elements to become something aware and alive. And here’s where the spiritual part comes in. From that whole cosmic process, we end up with beings like us beings who don’t just live, but also think, feel, and sense something deeper.

We’re made of the same stuff as the stars, but we have the gift of consciousness and spirit. Everything has some sort of living essence. I for one think we're more complex beings due to the fact that we have more complex molecular structures that form brain connectivty networks and things of that nature. Molecular structures are simply determined by how atoms arrange themselves in three-dimensional space.

In short, the whole universe is a grand cycle. Stars form from cosmic dust, planets form around stars, life forms on planets, and we emerge as the universe’s way of knowing itself. The law of correspondance in real time, Ha! It’s all one big, beautiful chain of connection, as above so below. So now when you hear someone mention that you are made up of the same things that reside throughout stars and galaxies, you'll know how. Now tell me that isn't dope AF.

Thats my breakdown of it, what do you think? Comment :)
